If it were dry, it would be work. Wet is the essence of play, at least where these festivities are concerned.

I'm envious, though; if Christopher is painting you, who shall I practice with? Where is Edwarda, anyway.

Not to say that practice must be limited to two participants, though there is the old adage about too many cooks. And the burning question of who would sign the finished pieces.

Ah, but you forget my arteestic temperment. I must develop and conserve my creative juices. I must not let my talents be diffused perhaps dry up in advance of the proper time and place. Nay, good lady, we must be patient and let the trusty forces of Art have their proper play.
