Didn't get that impression at all, Pru. Did we see the same speech?

Thought he did a good job and was appropriately political/respectful, albeit colorful. People WANT him to be a media mogul, and that's why he draws a crowd. Most interesting that the FCC commissioner who preceded Cuban didn't get asked a single question while they had to close out Cuban's Q&A segment due to lack of time.

He made powerful points about the speed of the broadband explosion and offered a nifty Net solution for record labels who receive about $4 per CD (less manufacturing and distribution costs) per year, per user: sell artist "lifestyle" subscriptions for $2.50 per month for continuing downloadable content. Very creative, very shrewd.

Also, BCST will host any independent filmmaker's work at no charge, providing a link to the artist's Web site as well. Nice gesture.
