I agree with you. There's nothing wrong with the strategy, just the timing. Running a business is not easy, running 4 or 5 and trying to coordinate everything perfectly is close to impossible. There will be lots of ill-timed announcements on any company. You can't expect perfection on any level. It's better they announce the specifics now rather than waiting until the 30th.
