Okay, I see what your interpretation is. Others will make the interpretation I outlined, since the numbers are so close. I went hunting, and tried to find the 14.9 and instead found 14.8 as I explained.

I can't find a definitive explanation to fit all the numbers together. To me, this suggests external elements may be factored in, such as complex accounting items over multiple quarters.

Indeed, complexity was suggested in the semantics wherein this was delivered ... "As anticipated this quarter we recognized" ...

Heck I'd love to pick some of this up at a low price, based on the future of SiGe.

You said:
This number does not show up anywhere on the P&L as a separate line item and I concluded (hopefully incorrectly, but I don't think so) that this was buried in top line revenues.

Steve,

From your own words, it appears that you haven't the slightest clue re what specifically caused the anomaly that you think you see.

Yet, you choose to characterize it as "... why management would want to play transparent games.

Seems to be a rather hasty and unfounded conclusion from my perspective.

But as I said before, you can do whatever you wish.

And that includes posting completely unfounded conclusions without any facts but rather an incomplete understanding of accounting practices, balance sheets or details.

If what you think you see is so important to you, why not just call IR and ask for an explanation?

The more you dwell on this bit of trivia, the more it seems that you have other motives than looking out for the interests of ATML investors.

Ian.
