Chuck,

From what I am reading, Intel did not come out at that meeting and say they would support the PC-133 with a chip set? That was just supposition from an analyst there? I read that a question was asked an Otellini didn't answer it. Is this true?

Chuck,

Thanks for the feedback from the horse's mouth. It sounds as if the only new piece of news was support for non-Rambus memory in the high-end systems up front (since we know that Rambus isn't going to appear in the low and mid-level systems until next year or 2001 anyway).

Was there any other interesting information (not necessarily directly Rambus related)?

Thanks,

Dave

If you read between the lines of INTC's new internet server business, you will see an even larger market for the initial into of RMBS in a plan that will have "server farms" with thousands of servers in service to ISP's. Intel has not said they wouldn't support RMBS but that they would entertain other architecutures than RMBS to be more "flexible" and responsive to the customer/supplier.

If you look out 1 yr you will be buying...I for one have never been able to call the bottom...
