Peter, very interesting. Have you any idea how much it will cost to transform those tens of millions of cable subs to voice? Not only in dollars, but in human and other forms of institutional capital? What time frames are we talking here?

Peter, = MSFT loses--Comcast value goes down a bit, RR loses UMG's potential 5MM subs, leaving basically just TWX's 12MM subs

That was a great post. However, Bill Gates won't let Microsoft lose in this deal. AT&T would have to promise sort of deal with Microsoft for software purchases etc...
If they are not willing to do that-----Comcast with Microsoft's help will be holding Media One. I think the chances of that are as good as AT&T's proposal. I think Bill Gates was probably hoping for this. Now MSFT, which has not done many deals, is going to mess up T's plans in a big way!!!
I love being a UMG shareholder --just bought today.
