Irene & everyone, I have short-term concerns with AOL technically and fundamentally Please note that I am long but only because I am hoping for a huge # on Tuesday.: 1: the 15 day moving average was breached significantly this week. This generally signals a flat to negative short term(1-2 week trading range). 2: the gap between the 15 day ma and the the 25 day ma is fairly wide. It is rare to stay this way for long and 90% of the time, the correction causes a short term drop in the stock price until the two lines narrow, if not converge. 3: There is a wide gap between the long-term trend line(currently around 100) and the market price. This can only be sustained with some strong fundamentals i.e.- a blowout number. 4: Too many of us are banking on a split. This is very unlikely. The stock just split 2 months ago. Also, the Sprint sale will increase liquidity, making the split less likely. 5. Having said all this, an awesome number will rocket the stock.
