That kid isn't alone. I have seen several articles and heard numerous anecdotal stories about putting student loans into the market. I wonder if anyone has a clue how levered the market is? I sure would like to know.

E-Group just announces a 2 for 1 split. Natch the stock is up 11 bucks. -s-

Believe it or not- I did the same kind of thing when I was in college during the bull blast off of 86. Of course there were no internet discount brokers then, so I had to hold for longer periods. I didn't use school loan money though- just extra cash I had from working. That's a very risky situation using borrowed money. I've wisened up quite a bit since then. <g>

I was lucky. Had to spend the money on tuition and expenses before the crash of 87.

You probably did a few dangerous things in your younger days too, eh? <g>
