a group picture of the "Trench Coat Mafia" get into the last years yearbook

What is wrong with that? What is next the blue-jean gang? The Air Jordan crew? Individuality breeds creativity, not all creativity is destructive.

didn't someone think to look into these kids and whom they associated with

Backgroud checks for students? Who is going to pay? Would you assign a private detective to follow students around? Which students?

What bad things did the Trench Coat Mafia do other than the bombing and shooting? Were they a problem before? What about the jocks? Have they done anything? Are they contemplating their own style of revenge? Is this a full scale war between two rival gangs? Or is it an isolated event blown out of proportion?

<<First of all how did a group picture of the "Trench Coat Mafia" get into the last years yearbook at the school. >>

I thought the same thing when I saw the yearbook photo. I was in the "hood/stoner" group in High School. We didn't have a picture title "Stoners" in our yearbook.

IMO, only school sanctioned groups should be allowed to be printed.

Does that mean only members of school sanctioned groups should be photographed? Absolutely not. There was nothing wrong with the picture, but the caption didn't need the words "Trench Coat Mafia"...just the names of the students.

The students can write "Trench Coat Mafia" in, if they so desire.
