Don, re: OEX p/c ratio, abnormality? i have asked myself the same question already and i have heard from an options trader who made the very same argument, namely that the ratio does not conform to normal bull market behavior and is therefore highly suspect. so i have looked into it, and bernie schaeffer of optionsource.com has done some research on this phenomenon. according to him, historical evidence shows that if the OEX p/c ratio rises on days when the OEX rises as well, the signal must be interpreted as very bullish. you can find the statistics (he looked at 32 previous occasions, so i guess it's pretty reliable)at optionsource.com
