Business Week Stocks : the following issues received positive mention in this week's "Inside Wall Street" column of this weekly magazine -- Telephone & Data Systems (TDS 59 1/2), TNP Enterprises (TNP 30 3/4), and Ardent Software (ARDT 19 1/8); given flurry of telecom mergers, Mario Gabelli is egging management to enhance shareholder value and places the private market value of TDS at $102 a share and believes that TDS will attract a buyer for some or all of its assets; utility company TNP is viewed as an attractive take-over candidate by a money manager as company lacks critical mass on its own; believes TNP could be worth $35 per share in a buyout; ARDT's acquisition of Prism Solutions should increase Ardent's earnings and according to one analyst, ARDT is worth $50 per share based on the price of its peers which are not growing as fast.....
