RICHMOND, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1999--MDU Communications Inc. MDTV is pleased to announce that the company continues to have great success in the marketing of the MDU Digital Satellite System.
The company currently has approximately 25 buildings receiving the MDU Digital Satellite Service and has, since Feb. 18, 1999, more than doubled the number buildings signed to Letters of Intent and Access Agreements. This number now stands at over 200 sites totaling over 20,000 multi dwelling units. These property management firms and building owners are committed to the installation of the MDU Digital Satellite and High-Speed Internet service. The new sites now being installed, will add to the existing 10,000 subscribers already subscribing to MDU services.
MDU Communications has entered into agreements with a number of the largest real estate firms in the multi unit residential marketplace including Oxford Property Management, O & Y Property Management, Baywest Property Management and Crosby Property Management.
In an effort to keep up with the increased demand for service MDU Communications is accelerating the rate of system installations. Over the next 6 weeks, 6,000 multi unit suites are scheduled for installation in cities across Canada, including Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Delta, New Westminster, Langley, Surrey, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto, and Halifax.
To better serve the 2.2 million multi dwelling units across Canada, MDU Communications has opened offices across the country and now has offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Halifax and soon will open two offices in Toronto (North York and Mississauga) and an office in Ottawa to serve the Ottawa and Quebec markets.
