I agree completely to a certain degree. I think MSFT is more diversified than the Market gives it credit for. And I can guarantee you that Meeker will not be the one to make the downgrade call before somebody else.

I think Gates and Ballmer realize full well what they have to do going forward, and that is why I think a major acquisition/partnership will happen in the not so distant future. MSFT has no choice. I would caution people against assuming that since MSFT has not done anything substantial, that they are not planning on it or are ignoring what is transpiring in the Market. I think MSFT will surprise us.
