I'd say more than 500 people took advantage of the free trial, so I'd reckon the 500 must represent actual fee paying customers.

hbohlig- I believe it was 500 sign-ups by mid-afternoon just the day of the IBE. So this would not be the total number resulting from the show by any means. I hope somebody could clarify this # for us.
