Again - big difference from stocks that are brought in the FRONT DOOR by respected analysts and firms - and not sneaking in the back door via a shell company . RRRR is not in the same league as the stocks you mentioned in ANY way.

<<You never know who will emerge to the forefront in this space. Did you ever imagine DCLK, EBAY, or NTBK would be where they are now?>>

Now that's a bunch of hooey playing to greed if I've ever heard it! You never know...... In fact up here in New York that's the lottery slogan: Because hey, ya never know......

Agreed you never do know ahead of time who will win; but that doesn't mean you go for the long shot or throw a dart. Instead you collect the available evidence and cock a skeptical eyebrow to the stuff that can't be verified. The biggest bull argument (double entendre intended) that I've heard is about the Apollo group- I don't think that's as strong a peg as people like to think.

If he says he intends to pony up the cash, he will. Rather, he has. Where do you think they got the $ to buy LiveUniverse.com?

<< ...Terms of the transaction were not available, but it is the first deal for Rare Medium since it received an infusion of $75 million from investment firm Apollo Management last week.... >>

RRRR has not got the 75 million. If they have already got the money, they would have revealed the exact terms of the deal.

The clip that you have quoted is from a third party news source who has obviously made a mistake.

Read the company press release -

This is the first deal Rare Medium Group (RMGI) has announced since signing a letter of intent last week with Apollo Management under which affiliates of Apollo plan to invest $75 million of equity into Rare Medium. That transaction is intended to transform Rare Medium into a one-stop provider of venture capital, Internet solutions and professional services.

As for the question of how they have funded the acquisition, have you looked at the # of acquisitions it has announced/closed this year. There are several small acquisitions. I am assuming that the LiveUniverse.com will be a all stock deal.

Regards.
