OT

I have dealt with the department of justice and the INS. I am still dealing with them. I will tell you without any hesitation that the INS is the most ineffective, slow, incompetent, uncaring, rude, unresponsive, arrogant, unworthy, deserving of a kick to the balls organization I have ever dealt with. The don't give a flying f*ck about anyone or anything.

It makes sense. Their "customers" are mostly not US citizens and have no recourse. Whatever negative stereotypes people have of government beaurocracies, multiply them by 10 and you will have the INS. And that's on a good day. On a bad day, throw 10 monkeys with down-syndrome into a dirty cage and you will have more brainpower and organization than the entire INS.
