I think you mis-characterized my response. DEC has always been deeply involved with Linux, and provided both hardware and engineering talent for the effort going back to the earliest days of Linux. This resulted in the 64 bit port of Linux for Alpha in 1995, which was the OS used in the server farm which did rendering for the film "TITANIC". I posted that information a month or so ago.

The question is not activity or support but productization. CPQ currently does not ship Linux and that was the part that I said would be market driven.

CPQ has strong development around JAVA both in DEC and at Tandem. I don't know of anyone at CPQ working with JBuilder but I'll ask around.
