Andy,

Any Idea what's dragging LSI down today? Is it Intel's new internet focus, which
maybe encroaches on LSI business? Or is this just a technical move after the
recent run-up?

First, pretty low volume.

Second, do you really think enough people can put 2 and 2 together and tie Intel's newly announced "Internet Farms", or their general purpose "MPU replaces lots of custom switch and router ASICS" strategy, or whatever, to LSI? I don't. If anything, fear of Intel getting into those areas would drag the networkers down. Instead, Cisco is up, and 3 COM is up big time (woops, takeover again on them, Siemens this time. That company will sleep with anybody).

No, I think LSI is just ho hum today.

Tony

I don't expect LSI to do much till the end of the Q when they again get judged on whether they hit the 6% sequential Q sales growth. They missed it last time but on cc mentioned that they'll hit it this time. All eyes will be on that 'cause that is the second half that drives the forward earnings.

Too bad they do not issue monthly b-to-b for semis anymore. That would make for more exciting tradings as well as regular score card on the industry.

Hi Andy,

I expected 38 to be a tough resistance level and think it will take some time to build enough pressure to break through. We may be building an ascending triangle now (common at strong resistance levels)....if so, each low will be higher but 38 will remain the ceiling.......might not happen this way.....just a guess. Seems LSI would have to come out with some very bullish news to send this stock over 38 resistance. Anyone else think so?

OTOH, if we slice through it like butter on Monday fine with me!

IMHO a break of 38 sees 44 then we may pull back some.

Staying long.

E!
