Good point. Me thinks we need some more institutional support of fundies who hold the same attitude.

Look at H&Q. They bought big into Vivus at the tune of 650k shares in 1997 with a cost average over 20. Their attitude is just hold on for the long run. They know that they would be foolish to sell out at these levels for huge realized loses. They do believe that in due time Vivus will recover. They really don't give a hoot as to how Vivus trades in the short run.

IMO other fundies that start accumulating at these levels will be handsomely rewarded in due time.

I never went short. I decided not to go short because the downside potential was only $4 bucks or so.
