No, but if you consider that Playstation I sold huge quantities of game consoles and Playstation II, with it's Internet connectivity and orders of magnitude more polygon processing ability than PCs, will sell even better, then you have a recipe for an RDRAM boom with or without PC implementation of RDRAM.

I think it hasn't been stated enough how important Playstation II could become to the PC market. To put it in perspective, we are looking at the possibility of an entire segment moving away from PC consumption. If Play II is successful, the high-end gaming segment will eschew PCs completely, in favor of beefed up game consoles. This is a big market (all teenagers for example and some of us hopelessly imature older adults). Of course, this is just one scenario that could may or may not occur. But Play II is the strongest candidate I have seen in awhile that may have the mass appeal to unseat PC dominance of high-end gaming.
