Reportedly, several manufacturers will announce digital cameras that save directly to Clik! Drive cartridges and completely bypass memory cards.

This would be great news. If this happens, it would allow photo developers to "develop" a roll of Clik-based pictures. I don't imagine anyone would drop off flash based memory at the drugstore, but I can imagine someone dropping off a Clik disk into a photo processing envelope, and then getting the developed pictures along with the original Clik disk returned.

Has anyone heard about plans for this type of Clik supported film development? This is the kind of thing needed to get mass market acceptance of digital cameras - I sure hope Iomega is working hard to make this happen with the Clik disk as the film replacement standard.

Regards,
Craig
