P.S. I expect you'll be hearing from the Lemming Anti-Defamation League momentarily."

Thank you for a most gratifying and extremely enjoyable post. I am very pleased that you find the time to read some of mine. I get so little constructive feedback lately that I sometimes wonder if anyone other than the hostile "contributors" read many of them. I confess that I know that I do tend to be long winded and run on so.

Warmest regards,

DARBES

RE:"I honestly don't think most analysts and investors have fully come to grips with the enormous risks associated with these two items."

Availability of motherboards and cpu's, that is.

I do not agree. I think that very much overdone pessimism is why the stock is trading in the teens and not in the forties. By one survey there are 24 analysts covering AMD. One has a strong buy, one has a strong sell, and twenty-two are neutral or market perform; these neutral morons, afraid to lose their jobs (as Tom Kurlak did), refuse to made an essentially binary decision (pun very much intended). At 17 AMD is a few points over book valuation and about one half of its break up value currently, as the Vantis sale illustrated. The market continues to say "show me the money" based on AMD horrific history of disappointing after promises. August should be exciting. I hope that, for a refreshing change, that the surprises are positive.

The above quote is from another set of threads. Any comments, public or private?
