I had been thinking about 3COM as a possible takeover target a while back--had posted in relation to operating system discussion. Unfortunately, I did not buy the shares. Darn!

Folks, something IS up. Volume in MSFT is solid, and the trading action is strong.

GSCO, MLCO are buying. Again I see BTRD used a lot. Just as money was flowing out, now it's flowing in. Can it be that the earlier selling was just a trade? First depress the price, then gobble up cheap shares?

Doesn't make sense. The amount of money that left is much greater than what's coming back (*thus far*).

Is this just some buying for the long term? Is the rotation out of cyclicals over? Is this just random trading noise? What's going on?

OK, for the first time in a long time, I'm clueless as to what is happening to MSFT. Somebody help!

Not that I'm complaining - my core MSFT is doing just fine, and I'm grateful for any rise. I just hate when I don't understand what is happening. Right now color me "stupid".

As I have been saying, the sell off of MSFT came early this Q, and the buying will start early as well.
