I had been thinking about 3COM as a possible takeover target a while back--had posted in relation to operating system discussion. Unfortunately, I did not buy the shares. Darn!

Folks, something IS up. Volume in MSFT is solid, and the trading action is strong. GSCO, MLCO are buying. Again I see BTRD used a lot. Just as money was flowing out, now it's flowing in. Can it be that the earlier selling was just a trade? First depress the price, then gobble up cheap shares? Doesn't make sense. The amount of money that left is much greater than what's coming back (thus far). Is this just some buying for the long term? Is the rotation out of cyclicals over? Is this just random trading noise? What's going on? OK, for the first time in a long time, I'm clueless as to what is happening to MSFT. Somebody help! Not that I'm complaining - my core MSFT is doing just fine, and I'm grateful for any rise. I just hate when I don't understand what is happening. Right now color me "stupid".
