There are so many people who do not believe that RMBS will be the memory platform by 2001. It shows by the posts here. Just reading them I realize that many don't know enough about the company to accurately estimate its future. The street knows. The street knows that there is much speculation in Rambus right now. The street knows that there are many who are scared about the short term value in the stock.( just released earnings, inline with estimates.no new news about the future )This is why the stock is trading lower. As Uncle West said;"there are simply no buyers right now".
What else could be expected. Does that mean that I am bearish on the stock. Hell NO!! The earnings growth will not be a matter of record until 4/2000. Without the earnings proof, the stock trades only on speculation. I was hoping that the earnings just released would be a penny better but....
What will matter most is where this baby will be trading by Christmas. I'am convinced it will be over 100.Maybe 125! The only thing that will hurt my outlook will be negative posturing by Intel.
RMBS will be in the newer PC boxes this fall. How much is up to the box makers.RMBS will be the majority memory platform by 2001.
So if you want reassurances seek out a counseler. Otherwise, do your homework !

bundashus,

Just think, one lady with the power of the pen can wreak such havoc!

She even quotes people from outside of Intel, an analyst no less, to tell us all about what Intel's future chip sets will be. I think I'd rather wait till Intel tells us what to expect. I still don't see anything from Intel saying they will support the PC-133 with a chip set. Nor is this tip-toeing away from R-DRAM. This is just good business. Intel is like all the other chip makers, they are getting prepared for all the orders that will be flowing in shortly.

I can only imagine the market share that will be taken away if Dell comes out with the RMBS 700MHz, 1.4 bandwidth and the other Asian PC companies are touting their PC-133's. I think we're going to have fun this summer but not for the faint of heart.
