Well, that's why I said summary. I hope someone in this thread (you, maybe, tippet?) will point out what the flaws in Gary's argument are, objectively and w/o the usual (boring) handwaving such as I-don't-know-what's-wrong-but-2-plus-2-ain't-3-so-it-all-stinks-to-high-heaven-and-I-will-buy-poots(sic).

Rather -- it is just a regurgitation of what the popular press says.

tip, my main points in response to MB are,
1) GTW stores are a marketing tool.
2) GTW and DELL are not moving away from direct.

I doubt the press says much about either of these things. They are pretty much just common sense.
