Why would there be Y2K problems now. Everyone says they fixed it.
Those who use oil, do not purchase oil at the last minute but months in advance. A Tanker is not a speed boat. Thus some Purchase orders for the year 2000 are probable in the Pipeline already. Y2k is tested
and past.

We may see purchasing managers begin to stock up on crude and petroleum products in 3rd and 4th quarters in anticipation
of potential YK2 problems. If the logistics of moving oil products get bogged down due to year 2000 issues a stampede could drive oil up to $25 early in 2000.

Oil Price/R.Barbe

I believe we already hit $19 on WTI futures.

Does that mean the Oil Index has peaked. If not what is the up side on the TSE Oil Index.?

Thanks.
