I do know generally that rapidly increasing numbers of units must be sold in order to show any revenue growth as ASPs are falling. yes, ASPs have always been falling, but the falls of late have eclipsed the increase in computing power so that there is a marked acceleration going on. Decreasing price does stimulate demand up to a point -- but up to what point? What will demand be going forward -- any slowing of demand growth means a very rapid deceleration in both revenues and profits -- it is coming. What you don't get from the analysts is a good sense of what is happening overall because they don't want to look at the whole picture ... you have DELL or GTW? You may have the winners in a loser industry. Have you ever considered that?

I think you are seeing the unfolding of hard times in the entire biz ... by the time you read it in the press it will be too darn late if you are long DELL or GTW.
