If a buyout will be announced on Monday or anytime soon I will eat my shoes !! Have you guys already looked at COMS market valuation ? It is huge (~9.5 Bn at the current price). Considering the company will certainly not put itself up for sale under $40 who would possibly have enough money to buy COMS out ? I do not see anybody here. It would have to be done with a huge stock swap. Now, who would be willing to do this "only" to acquire a struggeling network company. Certainly not INTC. They have their own networking business. And Lucent would also not be willing to pay so much. They have the same know how. I would wait a little more until COMS has sunken itself into the teens if I were interested to buy. Look at Siemens they were also not interested in a buy out, merely in a co-operation.
