James, no need to refrain from posts or be sorry. The debate is healthy.

The PE on Sun Micro is not as high as some of the other firms mentioned. That's why I believe that Sun has some more upside despite the fact that they told analysts that things will be down slightly later this year. I think that $75 is a good, conservative, price target for this stock. You should be advised that I'm long the stock.

I actually WANT short sellers to respond. They don't have to tell me that they are short the stock. The overall market bias to bid up tech stocks without regard to what they are doing, or even whether they are making any money is unhealthy. Sun Micro makes good products that I've used for years. Also, Sun is NOT overvalued, in my opinion.

James -

Thanks for the response. I was not trying to stop you from posting. Indeed, I also believe that it is important to have contrary opinions on this and other threads. Too often tho, pro and con positions are represented by either gung ho silliness or destructive bashing.

However, I do think that it is common courtesy to express where you are coming from, especially if the comment is either highly positive or negative. The poster should say, as you did, if they are long, short, or neutral.

James, please don't stop posting to this thread. We need objective opinions on this company. It's healthy discussions. Although we agree to disagree with each other on this company, I still want to hear what are some of the concerns regarding SUNW, whether that's from an financial analyst or an investor. The competition from Linux/NT is a legitimate concern. I'd appreciate you constantly remind us what kind of potential downfall we are facing.
