X,

AT&T is but one piece of the puzzle. But still an important piece especially when some of the other stocks may also be indicating the same thing. Right now I am watching charts of the major players and especially the interest rate environment for our next clues. I do believe if we see a backup in rates we could get some nasty volatility in the avgs. I think the close today will give me a better feel all around. If many of the stocks that I am following fail to meet my upside targets it will ultimately put more pressure on them next week to do so. My work tells that closing prices as well as TIME are very important to the overall direction of the trend. So I will be watching very carefully here.

Good trading.

SO

X, re:AT&T-remember when they bought TCI? the market's reaction was very negative initially. TCI and UMG are strategic acquisitions the value of which will be unlocked over the longer term. whether the prices paid were really too high will be known sometime in the future. i for one like T's strategy, it seems to make sense.

regards,
