Lots of people are concerned with appearances. You can play that game too, but you should only appear to be concerned about appearances. You have to act on substance. When you play games with appearances so that you can be accepted by society, you might as well kiss true success good bye, because true success mostly requires going against the crowd and its preferred appearances. Those appearances are just fads anyway, insubstantial and evanescent even misleading, so why bother trying to keep up with the Joneses?

You said,"and I for one don't want the truth sugar coated....but people really don't enjoy having their views belittled in public". Either you aren't a person or you have contradicted yourself. This comes from having done a great deal of adjusting oneself in order to comply with the perceived preferred appearance. If you want the truth and it goes against what your view is, you'll have to sugar coat it in order to make it disappear.

I said in the thread that T would have to bet the farm long before T thought it. Now they are distributing their pearls over time. You can't vanquish that way. You must hit with surprise and apply all your force and take every possible risk in order to succeed in a venture of this magnitude. T had already lost when I said it first, because by the time I said it, they should have already done it.

You're right. I don't give a damn how I say it and I'm damn proud of that.
