<< My own situation: 2 kids, it costs $6 for a roll of film $10 processing plus the cost of a scanner to get them on the web for friends and family. I could easily blow hundreds of $$ on pictures this summer alone. Add to that the aggrevation of piles of pictures and duplicates... Digital looks better every day >>

All true, but you are missing the point. My point is that the market will eventually split into three:

(1) low end - same as always. film, disposable cameras, etc.. CLIK! will never be used in this segment.

(2) middle end - digital cams. Camera users will transfer pictures directly from camera to the PC. The PCs (with megastorage) will be the ultimate repository of the pictures. The 'picture' directory will be backed up on ZIPs or CD R/W drives.

(3) high end: forever analog!

CLIK! is mearly a 'middle-man' between the digital cam and the PC. There just cannot be much volume in this space. There is too much extra hardware required just to transfer files between one piece of machinery and another.

What you guys are hoping for is that people will take pictures, and leave the pictures on the CLIK! disks. I don't think this will occur. People eventually want to look at pictures.. correct? and once they get it on the PC, they will likely erase the CLIK! disk and reuse it.

Again, we will see...
