JD:

In the upper left side of your SI screen, you will see an Inbox....probably in red cause I just sent you a PM. I know how you are feeling all too well.

Some of the brokerages are certainly better than others. When I left Waterhouse, they were very cooperative. So I know it can be done without the hassles.

I hope that you can get a response of some sort yet today.

It used to be that the people who went to some of these full service-small town folks like Edward Jones and Linsco Private Ledger (two competitors in many towns here), they just put their money there and only thought about it when they got their statements. Therefore, those brokers who represent them often are difficult to even reach. My Jones broker was never available. And I knew more about the market than she did. Trading with them is impossible.

With the advent of the online world, and better informed individual investors, these folks tend to not be prepared for us knowing and working with our investments like we do. We are a threat. And, I know of several around here who have left those brokers and moved so they can control their own destiny.

Thanks to all I learned from working for the Motley Fool, and learning here from Jenna, I have put over 100k in my husband's IRA since January. My trading account is about the same. No way, could my personal broker even come close to that. Most days, she doesn't even look at the market.

Sad, but true. Click on the red "Inbox" JD.
