On the technology question, I believe that PC133 is the absolute limit of that SDRAM technology. I doubt whether PC133 will work reliably on a warm (or cold) day, or if the wind is in the East. It simply isn't possible to keep the signals in the wires at higher speeds unless you move to a system with tightly controlled impedance, and proper termination on each and every line.

The only way that works, I'll say that again the *only* way that works, is the Rambus way, with all the devices spread along a terminated transmission line. Its fundamental physics. if they have patent protection on that, then nobody can touch them and their technology must win in the medium term.
