All,

Here are a few links that I've notice recently concerning
SGI. First, the 320 appears to have won a Tehnical Excellence award
from Federal Computer Week in an article dated April 19th.

A short blurb about what Belluzzo said about Linux during Comdex

linuxworld.com

and finally a little longer article from InfoWorld about SGI's
Linux strategy.

On a side note. Anyone out there recently buy an Octane R12000
and have problems with Kingston's 512 MB Memory upgrades. We
bought quite a few kits, and while they work fine in R10000
Octanes, the R12000 Octane's won't recognize the memory. I
emailed Kingston last week and they ignored me (so far). We
can't afford SGI's memory prices so third party memory is
important for us. We are trying Dataram now.
