From your news link ... my favourite paragraph from that article... <--bii version my favorite paragraph from that article... <--BIDS version "Why didn't [Mr. Pavan of Yorkton Securities Inc] come out with his report earlier?" a retired Montreal exporter asked yesterday. "I lost $40,000 of my retirement on this. I thought it could go up to $50. " The man, who did not want his name used, said his broker refused to recommend the stock but he went ahead nonetheless. re: also found to be interesting to me....As part of its compensation, Yorkton received warrants from the financing. At one point the company had the option to buy as many as three million shares, at a cost of $7.2-million. At the stock's peak those options were worth more than $90-million. Yorkton has said it exercised many of the warrants. HART-Broken...........NOT! Hmmm.... How MIGHT something like this have happened... lessee .. (1)Investor Reads SI chat thread (2)Believes other BII'ers that stock will go to $50 (3)Call broker for advise to see if true (4)Broker says, I don't think so, but I will take your money anyway (5)Investor stares at computer clicking Re-Load, watching RRSP grow (6)Investor confesses on SI Chat thread that he is not really retired, that he is retiring because the shares in his RRSP will grow to $100 because his "good buddies" on SI Chat thread say so!! (7)Investor quits job and runs up credit cards, long-distance phone bills chatting with NEW chat-line friends, plane tickets to party with other soon-to-be rich and famous people. (8) ut-oh (9)Investors stares at computer clicking Re-Load, watching RRSP drop (10)Investor finds out old employer does not want him back (11)Investor has friend from SI Chat line that coincidentally is also reporter from National Post who conforts him, because he smells "a story" and coincidentally, owns a lot of bii shares too in his RRSP (11)Investor agrees to allow his story to be written, provide reporter doesn't mention his name, or location, as he is in hiding now, from creditors, phone companies, mortgage collectors, etc etc. (12)Investor dumps all shares at 8.50, takes a $40000 loss in his RRSP account, and puts balance of holdings into 3-1/2% GIC locked 5-years. (13)Investor is quite popular in all the SI Chat lines by now, and does not want to lose his friends, so pretends he never sells shares and becomes Mr.Two-Face agreeing with everybody, slamming people other people slam for no reason, becoming more popular. (14) Doesn't show up at party-meeting, as credit card cancelled flight travel plans on him. (15)Investor wonders if anybody will notice that he only posts during the hours 2pm-3pm at the local Internet-cafe shop, during his lunch hour from working at McDonalds part-time, since the bankers confiscated all his assets including computer system. hey! It could happen ... need I go on?? Is it obvious that I have waaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on my hands??? Time for BBQ Later all
