Jerry: I pay $39.95 a month for ATHM, and it is great. Now that I have it, I would, indeed, pay more if I had to, in order to keep the service. (I bought ATHM stock soon after I started the service, and I have been adding to my position by buying XCIT.) There may be some reasons why ATHM will not rule broadband access in the future, but my money is betting that ATHM will have a very large part of the market. Several prognosticators in the business media were fretting today that ATHM could become a monopoly. Music to my ears!!

According to Tom Jermoluck (sp), CEO of ATHM on CNBC today, DOJ has approved the XCIT acquisition and everything is moving along right on schedule; still targeting end of May for closure. Proxies will me mailed out to shareholders for the vote asap.
