This is not true. In general, AMD announces products that aren't generally available. Intel announces when a component will be available for general delivery. Do you grasp the difference?

AMD already did this.

They announced a 450 MHz Kmart 63 over two months ago - and it still hasn't shown up in any PCs.

For that matter, the 400 MHz Kmart 63 is also a rarity .

So, AMD pulls these stunts - they just leave out the "availability details".

Of course, their earnings (excuse my use of this word) told the WHOLE STORY !
