Kevin,

< Re: "Good call. Vantis was less than 8% of AMD's sale. Sold for over 20% of AMD's market cap. I take that."

I've been gone for a few days but I gotta say Jerry has earned his new limo this year, selling of Vantis for $500 million.>

Jerry is a born salesman ever since his S.Cal sales days for Fairchild.

He snowed the Germans into building a $2Bn fab in a fairly risky venture.

He snowed Fujitsu into the FASL fabs.

He snowed Mot into getting the 0.18 Cu process for "free".

And he's snowed Compaq/Dec into getting the alpha bus and architecture for "micenuts".

He's even snowed Intel into worrying so much about the K7 that they are investing hundreds of millions of dollars in a low margin "Internet Server" factories to run away from the AMD menace.

He's even snowed all us investors into buying into his crazy kamikaze attack on a much larger, better funded foe.

Now if they could only deliver any K7's!!!!!

Regards,

Kash
