Steve

I think your opinion assumes AOL won't have access to Broadband Cable. They have the assets to buy ATHM or another Broadband Cable company but a more reasonable future projection will be for Congress to legislate Broadband Cable companies the same way they legislate telephone long distance. Time Warner has a monopoly where I live and there are many other across the country. Congress does not like monopolies and will most likely force Broadband Cable companies to go the way of long distance companies. My county's telephone monopoly is GTE, but I am not forced to use GTE long distance. I can switch between any long distance company I want over GTE monopoly lines.

Thanks for trying to save us from ourselves, Steve.

So confident in @Home -- a company I happen to like very much -- that you need to come visit us at AOL.

Plenty of room for both companies in a promising web future.
