It means that on the message boards you will quite often find people who are spamming. Spamming means to go around posting the same message all over the boards trying to get people to buy the stock. That is not allowed.

There are people who abuse these boards to hype their stock on any board they can find. You are only supposed to post information that is relevant to that particular board. Some of them are actually breaking the law too (I won't get into that now, that's for the next class).

Check that Spammers Hall of Fame board frequently to update yourself on who the violaters are so you don't get sucked into one of their scams. The person who's name you see posting the message is not the spammer. You need to click on the link provided in the message and it will take you to the spammer's profile. When you see the name on the profile, make a mental note to ignore that person.

If you have seen a spammer that has not been recently reported, go to the spammer's profile, copy the address line, and go paste that in the spammer's hall of fame. There is a person who will check your post and eliminate the problem poster.

This board is designed to help cut down the scamming. We are all the policemen here.
