"James, on the basis of BII's reporting it looks like they buy goods at $1.00 and sell them for $1.036 (not factoring in the interesting way the move losses to marketing costs) I guess this is how they do business. BTW do you know of any retail company that has been successful operating on 3.6% ?" They also buy Shop Naked posters for $1.00 amd sell them for $80.00 Not a bad gross margin.

GN, your pal Dagan just quoted a news report that pegs Bid.com's gross margin at 6.8%, not 3.6%. And UBID's gross margin is 8.6%; how does that fit into your analysis, given their $60 USD + valuation in the market? WUWT
