RealisticallE:

This here message of yours, to which I respond, and one of the fittness-challenged ladies', or Chuz's, cool, clear acknowledgement of rape, have, at this wee hour, put me a bit into despair (figuratively).

Brought to mind Marlon Brando's "Horror!" at the end of Apocalypse Now - which I ritualistically view at least once per quarter.

The utter detachment with which we vivisect the atrocious aspects of our human condition appalls me.

I am not saying it can be avoided. It is probably even necessary - to get a clear view of our condition. But it is so dismally down-in-the-mouth (essentially).

We sit back, relaxed, tilt our pinky to the curve of the teacup, and report the grossest of Godmade and Manmade monstrosities without emotion. Because they happen to be part of the deal.

At this particular moment, stirred by your post, I will gladly give all 10 points to Fantasy/Idealism/Resistance - and none to Reality/Pragmatism/Objectivity. (I clapped for Tinkerbell - and it worked!)
