Will SI keep the frames? If so, how about showing the new messages count for the individual bookmarks in the frame on the left? (Navigation frame?) Or show the bookmarks in that frame also (colored coded for new messages). They could be identified by a symbol of some sort, i.e., ticker for the stocks. A coffee cup for the coffee shop...
