Good points Dan. It all depends on how "high" you are on the underlying. If you think it's super...it might be worth it to buy back....otherwise...you've made a good point for closing the position.

It's my longer term equity investing background coming out here...I've done a fair bit of buying blue chips and CCing those...and I'm trying to shift into the WINS mentality. I'm making it, gradually!

Very good outline of the "nut" Dan! I recall getting email from lurkers that were in trouble and needed a clear mind. What struck me was that they all seem to not know their net cost basis when I asked. They replied, "I know I'm losing money, but, I can't tell you how much." Was it a mental thing that they really didn't want to know or was it that they had a poor management of their resources? Perhaps, they only expected the stock to move up and they would not have to think about a negative prospect. That is where I coined it the "nut" for lack of a better word. I'm sure I read that somewhere anyway.
