Grace,

I'm beat and have nothing to add except that
there is never a dull moment with ATHM.

ie. 198 on no news.
150 on big news.

Alz I got to say is that I was in at IPO and
have not been disappointed. Ahhaha's best comment
to date has been, and I'm paraphrasing because I
don't feel like sifting through 6,000 posts is this.

- It's in this companies' nature to be in the right
place and to come out on top.

He said that before T or XCIT or UMG, etc. I don't
think he's always right but he does come up with some
gems.

Good night,

KB

BTW has everyone ruled out the dark horse Paul Allen and his Vulcan Ventures....

I wouldn't rule him out. He apparently held talks with UMG before Comcast made its bid. But it sounds like he thought Comcast's offer was too rich, so I doubt he'd add another 8 billion.

Another factor is independence. His internet provider, called "Pipeline" is going its own way without @home or RoadRunner. There are huge disadvantages to that, but there are also several advantages. Because he controls the whole thing -- cable plant, ISP, portal --, he may be able to mix the things in ways that will be more difficult for the @home partners (for reasons that have been discussed here many times).
