You could be right there Kevin but just because they are registered you do not know when they will impact the float. Suddenly, they hit, the stock crashes nailing everyone. All, Joe was pointing out is that insiders are a good key to a stock's future. Now if they were about to buy stock that would be different. If the company is about to do something really positive why are they selling?

Everyone should use common sense. No one likes to pay for shares just to watch it tank. Averaging down is a pain because most do not keep any reserves to that ...

Ex. WEL had a rumor of a major oil company coming in .... No matter how much buying it would not go up. Tons of 144 ... well it was announced and nothing but sells hit the buying. Has not moved hardly in price.
