"Capacity will also depend upon a number of other variables, including (a)the peak hour system utilization pattern, (b)average call length, and (c)the distribution of Globalstar Phones in use over the surface of the Earth"

Brian H,this highlights my question. What they don't say is whether these are disclaimers or that they used reasonable assumptions for each of these variables in their model and came to the 12 Billion minutes. It boils down to whether 12 Billion call minutes were developed by the marketing department or the engineering department.

I think it is a fair question to ask how they took in to consideration the demographics in making their projections.

Thanks for you post, it does help and although some may think I am cynical, I am just a natural skeptic.

However, I think there is pent-up demand. I am considering committing a great deal of money (to me anyway) for the long term and I want to understand my ROI. I think the demand is there. What I am trying to understand is essentially the COGS and that is tied directly to available call minutes.
