More comments on the Q1 estimate

kat,
The earnings could well be 10c or higher. I think
my estimate is on the conservative side and of course,
any estimate is VERY sensitive to small changes in
expenses. For example, my assumption that SG&A will
remain in lock-step with increased sales is conservative
- the likelihood is that this percentage would be lower
for a 50% sales increase. Even a one point reduction in
SG&A from 26.85% to 25.85% would take my estimate
up to the 10c range. Interesting to note that they have been
steadily reducing the SG&A percentage since 1996.

Anyway, bottom line is we should be back to some
positive earnings. So, with the new Star Wars material,
continuing Furby sales (plus beanies and babies coming
later), future high-margin Ark sales, the improving CAN$
pushing up toward 7 month highs and the e-commerce
possibilities etc, the picture looks good.
