Hi Coby,

Have you ever tried gold salts for your RA? My mother-in-law had it quite badly and took the salts. They were expensive, about $300 per a once a month pill as I recall, but they did work. She was able to walk again and use her hands. She did very well until some Christian Scientists convinced her that it was Jesus at work and she tossed the pills. 6 weeks later she was bedfast again.

BlueSis, you shouldn'a had to do the doc's research for him/her. I've had some arthritis problems in the past and have discovered that the sports med folks are the best - thay HAVE to know what they're doing or the country club will cancel their membership. Nothing like a bunch of angry, sore golfers or tennisians.

Seems strange to drive all the way to Maryland to find a quack to instruct. I'd think you'd be able to find a doctor in Virginia to overawe with your obvious medical knowledge.
